Things You'll Need:
- Final Cut Pro (any version will do)
- Working keyboard, monitor, mouse
- 100 MB (minimum) free disk space

Step 1 - Click File > Export > Audio AIFF or OMFSelect File. Select Export, Audio AIFF or OMF. If you are transferring your data for use with another program, check the capabilities of the program before selecting AIFF or OMF. Typically, AIFF is used for Final Cut audio and OMF is used for Avid users.

Step 2 - Choose SettingsChoose your best export options. Depending on your import settings, the audio settings can vary, For the most part, the default settings for the audio will work fine. Be sure to check your import settings during that phase of video editing to ensure you have all the needed information.

Step 3 - Save The FileChoose the appropriate bin/folder/drive and save your work. Be sure to give it a specific name to ensure you don't misplace the exported audio file.

Step 4 - Status BarBe sure that the status bar has popped up, letting you know the audio is being exported.

Step 5 - Check FileMake sure your audio is saved until the proper name in your bin. Your audio file is ready to be distributed as needed.
