Refrigerated French bread dough is a great staple to keep on hand. Add some spices, herbs and olive oil, and it's possible to make a different kind of French bread for every day of the week.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and open one tube Pillsbury French bread dough. Place it seam side down, on a cookie sheet that has been greased with 1 tsp. olive oil. Cut 5-6 slits in top of dough. Then follow the steps below to make five different flavors of French bread.

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 tube Pillsbury brand French bread dough
  • Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp. each: sesame and poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp. chopped black olives
  • 2 tbsp. fresh minced garlic (from jar)
  1. Step 1

    To make caraway French bread, rub the top of the dough gently with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. of caraway seeds over the loaf. Bake at 350 for 20 to 23 minutes or until it is brown on top. Remove, let it stand five minutes before cutting and serve with pork roast.

  2. Step 2

    To make seeded French bread, rub top of dough gently with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. of poppy seeds and 1 tbsp. of sesame seeds over top of the loaf. Bake at 350 for 20 to 23 minutes or until it is brown on top. Remove, let it stand five minutes before cutting and serve with clam chowder for an easy dinner.

  3. Step 3

    To make Parmesan French bread, rub top of dough gently with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. of Parmesan cheese over top of the loaf. Bake at 350 for 20 to 23 minutes or until it is brown on top. Remove, let it stand five minutes before cutting and serve it with pasta and red sauce for an easy dinner.

  4. Step 4

    To make black olive French bread, rub top of dough gently with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. of chopped black olives over top of loaf. Bake at 350 for 20 to 23 minutes or until it is brown on top. Remove, let it stand five minutes before cutting and serve with chicken wings.

  5. Step 5

    To make garlic French bread, rub top of dough gently with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. of fresh minced garlic over top of loaf. Bake at 350 for 20 to 23 minutes or until it is brown on top. Remove, let it stand five minutes before cutting and serve with pizza or lasagna.
