How to Block an E-Mail in Microsoft Outlook

This step by step guide will show you how to block unwanted email messages using Microsoft Outlook.

  • Computer
  • Microsoft Outlook email address

    Blocking Unwanted Emails

  1. Step 1

    Enter Microsoft Outlook and access your Inbox.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the "Actions" tab located at the top of the screen. Depending on your version of Outlook, you may need to begin by locating and clicking on the "Options" tab.

  3. Step 3

    After clicking on the "Actions/Options" tab, highlight "Junk Email" followed by "Junk Email Options." Click on "Junk Email Options."

  4. Step 4

    Under "Junk Email Options," click on the tab labeled "Blocked Senders." Next, click on the "Add" button.

  5. Step 5

    Enter each email address that you want Microsoft Outlook to block and click "OK."
