There are a few factors to consider when sewing patches on a custom T.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Use a sewing machine to sew on your patch. Most patches are fairly thick and tough, and you don’t want to tear up your fingers using a hand needle.

  2. Step 2

Since most patches are going to be sewn around the edges, secure them with Scotch tape. It’ll come off easily when you need to remove it, but it should stick to the material long enough for you to sew it.

  3. Step 3

When you sew the patches on, stay close to the edges to give your shirt a clean and professional look.

  4. Step 4

Make sure that you always sew on one layer of fabric. This is especially easy to forget when working with sleeves, but, otherwise you may sew your sleeve to the body of the shirt.
