Things You'll Need:
- Cloth
- Pet Stain Removal Product
-
Step 1
Deterrent. The best way to prevent an animal from staining any sort of furniture is to find a spray or powder that will give off an odor your pet won’t like. Any major pet store should have an aisle for cleaning products and more often than not, you’ll be able to find one of those items.
-
Step 2
Accidents can and will happen. Treating them quickly is very important. It's important to note that leather reacts very badly to water. It can spread the odor and stain that you’re trying to get rid of. That means that you’ll need to use a dry product to clean the stain. Look for products made for urine and vomit stains.

Step 3
Clean thoroughly. Especially with powders that are able to trap the odor and the stain, you’ll want to make sure that you thoroughly clean the area, vacuuming up the entire product. If you leave any of the stain or odor, rest assured, your pet will be tempted to mess there again.
