How to Melt Fondue Chocolate

You don't have to go out to a restaurant to enjoy great chocolate fondue at home. Chocolate fondue is easy to make, versatile and so much fun. Read on to learn all about making chocolate fondue.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Saucepan
  • Fondue pot
  • Fondue forks or bamboo skewers
  • Cut up fruit, pound cake, marshmallows, shortbread cookies
  • 12 ounces of good quality chocolate of your choice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  1. Step 1

    Make sure that you have already cut the fruit, pound cake, marshmallows and cookies into bite size pieces. Cut the chocolate into pieces.

  2. Step 2

    Add cream to saucepan and cook on medium until it comes to a low boil.

  3. Step 3

    Remove from heat and add chocolate, stirring vigorously.

  4. Step 4

    Add vanilla extract and stir.

  5. Step 5

    Add to fondue pot and serve with cut up fruit, pound cake, marshmallows and cookies.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add whatever you like to the chocolate to make it your own. Experiment with nuts, spices like cayenne pepper or liqueurs like Frangelico or Amaretto. Even make chocolate fondue using white chocolate.
  • Don't scorch the milk. It will ruin the final product.
