Things You'll Need:
- Gently used children's clothes
- Yard sale price stickers
- Boxes
-
Step 1
Pricing your items will be easier if you sort them. If you have several different sizes, sort them according to size. Having them organized will make the shopper more likely to go through them.
-
Step 2
If your clothing is all the same size, sort it according to garment. Keep shirts together, pants together, etc. Again this makes the shopping easier for the customer, making them more likely to buy more.
-
Step 3
When pricing the clothing, the most important thing to consider is the condition of the clothing. How worn is it? For example, you wouldn't pay $10 for a pair of pants with holes in them. Worn items should be priced considerably cheaper. A good average for worn items would range 25 to 50 cents for a shirt and 25 to 75 cents for a pair of pants.
-
Step 4
Check for stains. Even the newest items should be priced like worn items if they have any significant stains on them.
-
Step 5
Newer items in excellent condition can be a little pricier. This is what most shoppers are going to be hoping to find and they will be willing to pay a little more for newer clothes. Take advantage of this, but do remember it is just a yard sale. You don't want your prices to be higher than Wal- Mart.
