Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ceramic flat iron
  • Garnier Fructise Sleek & Shine Anti Humidity Styling Cream
  • Garnier Fructise Sleek & Shine Anti Humidity Hair Spray
  • Suave Professionals Sleek Heat Protection Spray
  • Suave Professionals Sleek Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner
  • A fine tooth comb
  • Several barrettes or pins to hold up hair

How To Get That Straight Look

  1. Step 1

Wash your hair with the Suave shampoo and conditioner. Leave the conditioner on hair for a couple of minutes. This will help add some moisture to your hair.

  2. Step 2

Towel dry your hair lightly. Take the anti-humidity cream and place a dime sized amount in hand (if your hair is long, you may need a little more). Rub it hrough your hair, working from root to tip. Now use the heat protection spray and spray an even layer throughout your hair.

  3. Step 3

Comb through your hair and let it air dry. This will help to maintain a sleeker look as hair dryers tend to leave tips dry and brittle.

  4. Step 4

Let your flat iron heat up and make sure your hair is dry or nearly so. Comb small sections, about half an inch at a time. Run the flat iron through each. Start from the outside layer of hair and work your way in. Use barrettes to pin up each section. Once you've finished one side of your head, release the barrettes, and comb through your hair. Work your way around your head.

  5. Step 5

Style an then lightly spray anti-humidity hairspray over your entire head. Use your fingers along with the spray to distribute more on the tips of your hair. This will help keep your hair as you like without giving it a plastered look.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wash your hair every other day.
  • If you wear your hair straight every day, take one night a week to use a shampoo such as Neutrogena Anti-Residue. It will remove any product buildup that may occur. Then use a good repairing conditioner to help heal any damage that may be caused. After that, give your hair the night off. Don't straighten then; just let it drip dry and breathe.
  • Make sure you use a ceramic flat iron and not a regular flat iron.
  • Never try straightening wet hair; it can burn at the roots and even cause breakage.
  • Never use a blowdryer, period.
