How to Celebrate a 10th Anniversity.

  1. Step 1

First decide when you want the celebration. If the actual anniversary date falls midweek then consider moving it to the nearest weekend. It’s also a good idea to have it at the weekend as it helps encourage a party atmosphere.

  2. Step 2

Combining an anniversary with another event is never a good idea as this draws focus from the couple.

  3. Step 3

Who to invite and how many people? The answer also depends upon the type of party you are planning. An intimate family gathering will allows for a wide choice of venue but a large party has the advantage of allowing new people to interact.

  4. Step 4

Allow at least two months to book up caterers or a restaurant. Always keep in mind that the bigger the party, the more notice you need to give.

  5. Step 5

When planning the decorations and theme keep in mind. The 10th anniversary color is silver. The traditional 10th wedding anniversary gift is aluminium or tin but the modern tenth anniversary gift has evolved to diamond jewelry. The flowers designated for the Tenth anniversary is the daffodils and the the gemstone is black onyx.

  6. Step 6

Always cater the event to the guests of honor. If possible plan a slide show with photos of the wedding and the last ten years of the couples life. Play the couples song, serve their favorite dishes, and cocktails.
