1
Soak your ears in hot water mixed with table salt for 10 to 15 minutes at a time if the problem is on the outside of your ear. The hot water will reduce the pain, while the salt can draw out any infection.
-
2
Use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on the outside of the ear to help the healing. If you have an infection, this will scab over the area.

3
Apply a topical cream onto the ear. You can obtain cream from a doctor or use an over-the-counter cream to numb the ear and help with any discomfort.
-
4
Limit the amount of pain killers you use, including over the counter pain relievers such as aspirin. They thin your blood which increases your bleeding.
