How to Make Quick Quiche

Cheese is, of course, the main ingredient in traditional quiche. But this recipe adds meat and vegetables that make it a heartier dish.This quiche is perfect for breakfast, a light lunch or as a side dish with a dinner main course. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell, frozen or refrigerated
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-1/2 c. whole milk
  • dash, black pepper
  • 2 c. shredded cheddar or swiss cheese
  • 2 tbs. flour
  • ½ c. chopped broccoli or cooked, well-drained spinach
  • 2 slices of cooked ham or pepperoni, sliced into small pieces.

Instructions

  1. Quickie quiche

    • 1

      Preheat oven to 350.

    • 2

      Combine eggs, milk, salt in a small bowl; mix well.

    • 3

      Toss cheese with flour. Add cheese mixture to egg mixture. Add ham or pepperoni and tomatoes.

      Pour the mixture into the pie shell.

    • 5

      Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings

  • Not into green veggies? Add chopped mushrooms or black olives instead.

  • This recipe can also be wrapped in plastic wrap, frozen and eaten at another time (after baking)

  • It will also last 4-5 days in the fridge.

  • Overbaking will cause quiche to dry out.
