- Bike helmet

Step 1
Side View Bike HelmetWear the helmet properly on the head. The helmet should not be tilted forward or backward. The front of the helmet should be level with the middle of the forehead.

Make sure the chin strap fits snuggly and is not too tight or too loose. No more than one finger should fit between the strap and chin.

Adjust the side straps so they form a v-shape below each ear.

Interior Bike Helmet Showing Pads and Adjustable Fit RingAfter following steps 1-4, if the helmet still seems a bit loose, add the pads to the interior of the helmet. If the pads are already attached and the helmet feels a bit too snug, remove the pads to see if that makes a difference.

Step 6
A properly fit helmet shouldn't wobble back and forth on the head. After following steps 1-5, if the helmet still seems too loose, choose a different helmet size. Most helmet manufacturers makes their helmets in small, medium and large sizes.
