How to Decorate Wooden Eggs

1
Before you start to decorate, make sure your wooden egg is completely dry. If not, let it air out for a day or two. Gather all of your supplies so that you do not have to hunt them down at the last minute. If you are prepared, it makes for a more relaxed atmosphere.

2
Decide how you want to decorate your egg. Do you want to paint them in different colors? Do you want to paint objects on them? Would you prefer to decoupage paper on the eggs? You could roll the egg in glue, then roll them in seed beads for a beaded egg. Perhaps you would like to do a combination. Whatever you decide, assemble the materials all in one place, so that you will be able to get to them when you are ready for that step.

Whether you paint, bead, or decoupage your egg, have a place where you can place the egg as it dries after each treatment. If your egg will fit in the egg holes of an empty egg carton - that would be ideal. Decorate the space on the egg that you can see at the time. Remove them and turn them upside down when they are dry to decorate the other end.

4
Let the eggs dry and patch up anything you may have missed. You can repeat the decoration and drying process as much as you need.
