Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you are in a rush and want a healthy meal that can be prepared in a minute or two, consider low-sugar hot instant cereals.

  1. Step 1

    Shop for Dixie Diner hot instant cereals. This is a brand that caters to diabetics. The Dixie Diner Sugar Free Hot Cereal costs about 90 cents per serving and it contains zero grams of sugar, 240 milligrams of sodium and one gram of fat.

  2. Step 2

    Buy Flax Z Snax hot cereals. This is another brand that develops products for diabetics. Their Sugar Free Cinnamon Hot Cereal is tasty and it costs about 80 cents per serving. Each serving contains zero grams of sugar, zero milligrams of cholesterol, six grams of fat and 12 grams of dietary fiber.

  3. Step 3

    Try Quaker Instant Oatmeal Lower Sugar hot cereal if you want to reduce the amount of sugar in your diet. It only has between four and six grams of sugar, depending on the flavor, which is less than half the sugar in the original version. Each serving of this cereal costs about 40 cents and is high in iron and calcium.

  4. Step 4

    Find no sugar varieties of your favorite Quaker hot instant cereals. Quaker's Weight Control Oatmeal, for example, only has one gram of sugar, as well as seven grams of protein, three grams of fat and 270 milligrams of sodium.
