How to Change your Screen Name on America Online

This article will show you how to change your screen name in AOL 9.0 and earlier versions.

Things You'll Need:

  • An AOL account
  • Computer with an Internet connection
  1. Step 1

    Click the "AOL" logo in the system tray. Click on "AOL 9.0," "AOL 9.0 Settings." For older versions of AOL, skip to Step 4.

  2. Step 2

    View the list of options. Click on "Screen Names."

  3. Step 3

    View the screen with different options for creating and deleting screen names. Up to seven names are allowed per user account.

  4. Step 4

    Know that for earlier versions, log in to AOL as usual, then choose "Account Settings," "Screen Name." This will bring you to a similar menu with options to add, delete or remove a screen name.
