The Bourbon Highball is a class American cocktail that is simple, refined, and suitable to nearly any social occasion. It is equally at home in a bar or a country club, at a soccer match or a co-ed softball game. In other words, the Bourbon Highball is a great anytime drink recipe to add to your arsenal.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • Soda water
  • Twist of lemon
  • Ice
  • Slice of lemon (optional garnish)
  1. Step 1

    Fill a highball glass roughly 2/3 full of ice.

  2. Step 2

    Pour the bourbon into the highball glass.

  3. Step 3

    Add the twist of lemon into the highball glass.

  4. Step 4

    Fill the glass the rest of the way with soda water.

  5. Step 5

    Garnish with a slice of lemon on the rim of your highball glass, if desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • For more citrus flavor, squeeze the juice from one slice of lemon into your Bourbon Highball.
  • For a sweeter Bourbon Highball, substitute ginger ale for the soda water in the drink recipe.
