How to Tell the Future

All of us wonder what the future holds at one time or another. Whether we are curious about our career path or wondering if we will meet Mr. or Mrs. Right, the temptation to try to look into the future to see what will happen is great. Throughout time people have found ways to tap into the universe and tell the future. Nostradamus is one famous "prophet" that was able to accurately foretell the future using a fairly easy to make tool. Are you ready to tell the future? Here's how.

• Runes
• Scrying mirror
• Tarot cards
• Pair of dice
• Astrology book or computer with Internet access

How to Tell the Future

   Use Runes. Runes are an ancient form of divination based upon English and Scandinavian influences. They are a series of glyphs usually on stone or wood bases that can be drawn from a bag or laid out for a more extended reading. Runes can be used to tell the future in a number of ways from a single rune draw with the corresponding interpretation, to a casting of nine runes which would give a past, present and future reading.    Try Tarot cards. Tarot cards have been around since the 14th century and much like the runes, enable the reader to choose cards to foretell the future. Tarot cards, as many other divination devices have enjoyed renewed popularity and now you can not only get the traditional deck but more unique and beautiful tarot card decks as well. The reading is only as good as the reader however, so getting to know how to interpret the cards is important and can take some time.

   Toss dice. This is a quick and easy way to get a look at what your future holds. Any normal set of dice will do and reading them is easy. The answer to your future depends on the combination that your dice land on. For example, if you roll two two's, you will meet someone special and fall in love. You can also use the number combinations to answer yes and no questions, or use three dice to tell the future. The meanings of your dice throw would be too involved to get into here, but as you investigate this form of fortune telling you will be able to determine if this meets your divination needs.

4. Try a scrying mirror. Gazing into a black mirror surface was Nostradamus' favorite divination method and if you feel you have intuition or psychic abilities, this might be a great way to hone your skills. Once you have the mirror, you place a candle in a darkened room and gaze at the mirror until you see images that may foretell the future. Cool.

   Use astrology. Astrology is basically the study of the connection between stars and man. Astrologists have been defining personalities and life paths for centuries and an advanced Astrologist can do a "chart" for you that can help you see what the future holds and help direct your path. You can easily use astrology everyday to help foretell your immediate future by simply reading your horoscope in the paper or online. Your zodiac sign is based upon your birth date and is a great way for anyone to tell the future.
