  • May need a screwdriver or a pair of pliers.
  1. Step 1

    To change the cabin air filter in a Nissan Frontier, first locate the cabin air filter housing. It is usually located under the dashboard on the passenger side of the cab, or it may be under the hood, near the windshield. Refer to the owner's manual of your vehicle for assistance.

  2. Step 2

    Remove the housing cover, which is usually held in place by either clips or screws. Remove the filter.

  3. Step 3

    To see if you need to replace the filter, gently tap it. If dust or debris falls off, it needs to be replaced.

  4. Step 4

    Insert filter into filter housing, then replace and secure the housing cover.
