Instructions

    • 1

Be social to ensure that you make good friends from the very beginning of school.

    • 2

Choose at least two friends that you trust to begin regular study sessions during the first three weeks of classes.

    • 3

Work together on any questions, tests or review sections in your books. Reviewing these questions together will help you study for the final exam.

    • 4

Work on any sample exams your professor may have handed out with your study group. This is the most important activity you and your study group will have to do in order to succeed on the final exam.

    • 5

During the final week of the semester, work on an outline with your study group. Making your own outline will help you remember important facts, which will save you time during your exam because you will not spend an excessive amount of time looking for answers in your outline. It is best to start your outline before classes end.

Tips & Warnings

  • Being social can be hard to do at the beginning of school because most students are scared. Because many classes are graded on a curve, many students become nervous since they believe every other student is competition that is not willing to be friendly. Remember that every other student is just as nervous as you are when you begin your school career. Making friends early will help you study and also help your social life. If you open up to your fellow students they will most likely open up to you.

  • Your success in school is based on how much time and effort you are willing to put into your studies. You should go to class, complete all the reading assignments on time, work on any problems given to you by your professor or in your book and complete the sample exams if there are any.
