Make Smoked Salmon and Cream Sauce

Throw caution tot he wind and enjoy the traditional Alfredo sauce made with real cream, smoked salmon and fresh dill.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Large Carrot
  • 1/2 pound sliced smoked salmon
  • 1/3 cup dry vermouth or dry white wine
  • 1 cup half and half or light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 package bow tie or penne pasta cooked
  • Dill sprigs for garnish

    Smoked Salmon and Cream Sauce

  1. Step 1

    Shred carrot (you should have about 1 cup). In non stick 10 inch skillet, heat carrot and 1/2 cup water to boiling over medium - high heat. Cook 5 minutes, or until carrot is tender.

  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, cut salmon slices into 2 inch pieces. Add vermouth to carrot mixture. Heat to boiling; Cook 1 minute. Add cream, salt, and pepper; heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Cook 1 minute longer.

  3. Step 3

    Remove skillet from heat; stir in salmon pieces and chopped fresh dill. To serve, toss cooked pasta with salmon mixture until pasta is well coated; garnish wtih dill sprigs.
