Hair loss may occur if you wear pigtails, braids or cornrows or use tight hair rollers. This is called traction alopecia. Hair loss typically occurs between the rows or at the part where hair is pulled tightly. Castor oil has been used as beauty aid, to soften and treat very rough, dry skin. Its properties as a naturally-produced vegetable oil make it ideal for use on the skin as an emollient, and as a hot oil treatment for dry damaged hair. On the hair, castor oil works to coat the hair shaft and smooth the cuticle layer, sealing in moisture and leaving the hair feeling soft and silky. It is more easily absorbed by the hair, allowing for deeper penetration into the hair shaft.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Castor Oil
  • Healthy Diet
  • Plenty Of Water
  • Renewed Hair Care Practices
Step1
Apply castor oil to the scalp 2 to 3 times per day or as often as desired. You want to keep the scalp moisturized.
Step2
Drink plenty of water. Your body needs to stay hydrated. It's a fact we should all drink plenty of fresh water each day to keep our body cells in prime condition.

About 75% of our bodies are made up of water- but we lose around 6 pints of fluid a day.
Step3
Keep your diet as clean as possible. Take supplements if need be. A healthy body equals healthy skin and hair. You should start seeing hair growth in about 6 to 8 weeks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Overstyling and excessive brushing also can cause hair to fall out if the hair shaft becomes damaged. Be gentle with your hair.
  • There is a vegetable oil called CASTOR Oil, made from castor beans, which is sometimes used to get labor going or for other medicinal purposes. There is a petroleum product, i.e. motor oil, called Castrol Oil, which could be toxic. Please do not confuse them!
  • Having inadequate protein or iron in your diet or poor nourishment in other ways can cause you to experience hair loss.
