Things You'll Need:
- A new perspective
- Money
- Self control
- Determination
-
Step 1
Credit OptionsIf you don't already have a bank account...get one. Having a bank account can help improve your credit status. The longer you have the account the better. Request an application for a secured credit card. Your credit card limit will be equal to the amount of your security deposit, which is between $300 to $5000. If you only can invest $300, that's fine. You can always add to the account to increase your credit limit.
-
Step 2
Credit offersGet at least two secured cards. The higher the deposits the better. Some of the best credit offers can be found online.
-
Step 3
Unsecured creditUse the cards. They won't help your credit if you don't use them. Pay a bill with them and pay the balance before the due date. Eventually you will start to receive dozens of offers in the mail.
