Things You'll Need:
- Silicone, acrylic or water-based grout sealer
- Foam brush
- Damp cloth to remove excess grout
- Extra tiles (if working with chipped tiles)
-
Step 1
Remove chipped tiles, if any, from the floor.
-
Step 2
Traditional TileLay new tiles in the vacant spaces. It is okay to mix and match. All tiles do not need to be exactly the same.
-
Step 3
Prepare the grout by following the directions on the label. Sealing offers greater water and mildew resistance.
-
Step 4
Seal all tiles, new and old. Use a foam brush. Remove excess grout immediately with a damp cloth.
-
Step 5
Finish with a top sealer similar to that used on hardwood floors. This will give a shiny, clean finish.

on 9/19/2008 a good way to remove grout haze is to use what is called a grout rag. you can buy these at home depot, and you should wipe the whole area about 3 times. it gets rid a great deal of grout haze
