Warm tiles otherwise known as radiant heat floors are a great way to improve the energy efficiency of your home while at the same time giving you a warm and cozy floor to walk across instead of cold tiles. Cleaning warm tiles isn't much different than cleaning a regular floor but there are a few important things to keep in mind.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water
  • Cleaner that is safe for your particular kind of tile
  • Dust mop
  1. Step 1

Keep your warm tiles free of dirt and dust by regularly using a dust mop or vacuum cleaner with a bare floor attachment. Do not use beater bar type vacuum cleaners on your warm tile as they could chip the tile or grout.

  2. Step 2

You can mop your warm tiles the same way you can mop a regular floor. Be sure to take into consideration the type of tile your floor is made from as radiant heated floors can be ceramic tile, natural stone, or even wood. Only mop your warm tiles with a cleaner that is safe for your particular kind of tile.

  3. Step 3

After mopping your warm tile with the appropriate cleaner, rinse your warm tiles with plain water.

  4. Step 4

Remove all residue from the cleaning products so they do not bake on or cause streaking or spotting. Warm tiles will dry extremely quickly.
