Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Any or all of:
- Vitamin E liquid
- Tea Tree Oil
- Zinc lotion/scar cream
- Aloe leaf from the actual plant
Step1
If your burn is fresh, rinse with tepid water and seek medical attention. Burns can be serious. Never use butter or oil as it traps heat and may cause the burn to get worse.
Step2
Aloe
The best thing for a new burn to heal with the least chance of scarring is aloe from an actual aloe plant. Peel the skin off the side of the leaf and place the juicy part on the burn directly. You can lay strips of the inner part of the aloe plant on your burn for as long as possible.
Step3
Store the aloe plant, juices, insides- once cut open in the refrigerator and use as needed.
Step4
You can also use liquid Vitamin E- in bottle form, or break open capsules to rub on scar area.
Step5
The same is true for Tea Tree oil and Zinc. You can make a little rub and gently rub on scar area after it is clean and dry. Do not cover with a band aid, let it breathe.
Step6
Be patient. Scars take time to heal, and will fade. They will fade more quickly and more completely with repeated use of the Vitamin E, Zinc, and Tea Tree oil (after the aloe application at the beginning). If you don't have one of these ingredients, use what you have.
