It's going to happen eventually. How to prepare yourself.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • cowboy up and forget your inhibitions
Step1
First, try to use your words, or walk away. Violence should only be a last resort. Put yourself in the shoes of your opponent and try to resolve the issue diplomatically - consider the alternative point of view in the situation. What is the arguement about? How can I address this situation so the needs of both parties are met? Simply ask, how can I help YOU? Is there something we can compromise? Take deep breaths, keep your voice calm and temper under control.
Step2
So words aren't working and tempers start soaring. Someone wise once told me, always be prepared to attack, but never give the first blow. Non-verbal cues will dictate rising emotions. Tension in the shoulders and back, clenched fists and teeth, lowering of the eyebrows, reddening of the face - these are all cues that someone is getting agrivated. Be aware of these cues. Be prepared for a sucker-punch, always.
Step3
DEFENSE-
The best defense is knowing your vunerablilites and knowing points of attack. Become familiar with your body, and become familiar with the movements of your opponent. Fighting a human is simple, you only must be aware of 2 arms and 2 legs. Study bone structure, be aware of the motions and limitations of these appendages. Move accordingly and be aware, work on your peripheral vision. You must see all of your opponent.
Step4
ATTACK-
When you strike, go for the jugular. Make sure your blows are to the point and do damage. Aim for crucial pressure points to end the dispute quickly. Direct all your blows to the nose, eyes and neck. The quicker your can discourage or take down your opponent the better.
