How to Get a New Screen Name on AOL

Looking to start a new AOL account or get a new screen name? Follow these simple instructions.

Instructions

1. 

   Access the AOL homepage (see Resources) and click on the sign-in button. This will take you to the AOL portal page.

2. 

   At the AOL portal page, find the button that says "Get a free screen name" and click on it. This will take you to the registration page.

3. 

   Create your email address by typing in your first name, last name, desired email address and password. The email address must be between 3 to 16 letters or numbers and the password must use 6 to 16 letters or numbers.

4. 

   Select your security question, postal code, birth date and gender.

5. 

   Verify your AOL registration and click on submit to acknowledge the AOL terms of service.
