Endometriosis can not only be painful, it can cause infertility. Bring yourself some relief by trying the following natural remedies for endometriosis.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Try progesterone cream. Many doctors suggest this and it can be purchased over the counter. It is a cream applied topically to areas such as the wrists or the back of the neck.

  2. Step 2

Eat vegetables that provide flavones. Celery is a good one.

  3. Step 3

Use flaxseeds, which has been shown to be helpful for women with endometriosis. Flaxseeds can be sprinkled on food, such as your breakfast cereal.

  4. Step 4

Get your Omega-3's. This would be from food sources, such as fish or sardines. If you're not a fan, fish oil capsules can be purchased and also have many other health benefits.

  5. Step 5

Take care of your mental health. Stress can aggravate your symptoms. Get exercise, plenty of rest, and take a good multivitamin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ginger tea may help with nausea.
  • Under the direction of a phycisian, try a sitz bath to relieve pain.
  • Always discuss any treatments you are trying at home with your doctor to verify they are right for you.

on 4/9/2009 Stress and Pain caused by Endo can definitely frustrate a woman and lead to depression, sometimes an anti-depressant is an option to help, but natural remedies are best first.Warm to Hot Baths, seem to help mildly and heating pads too.Or Fill a sack with rice and eucalyptus or other aromatic herbs, microwave the sack to desired temperature and use on areas of pain :)
