First you will need to apply your base, or color foundation. This is best done with your hand to warm to makeup to body temperature for easier smoothing. Blend to the outer edges of the face to avoid a line of demarkation.

    • 2

For a long forehead, apply dots of the darker shade about a half inch under the hairline, surrounding the upper portion of the forehead. This makes the forehead appear shorter.

    • 3

To blend correctly, pull the makeup downward towards your hairline in a sweeping motion. Avoid straight strokes or your makeup will be noticeable.

    • 4

For a wide forehead, apply small dots of the darker shade to the sides of your forehead along the temple lines. This will make the forehead look longer and thinner.

    • 5

To blend correctly, pull the makeup in towards the middle of the forehead and up in a light, sweeping motion. Avoid straight strokes, as this will make your darker line more visible.

    • 6

For both types of foreheads, the last step is to apply the powder. To do this, simply blot the powder onto the face with your puff and blend outward towards the edges of the face. You have just altered the way your forehead looks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid over applying on the darker shade, as this will make the difference in color more noticeable. If you are unable to find a shade slightly darker than your normal color, you can mix an eye makeup with your foundation in small amounts to create your own colorant.
