1
Send out invitations as soon as possible, preferably before the NCAA tournament even begins. Instead of sending a paper invitation through mail, try to do something simple using the internet since most people have some type of access to the web.

2
Go out and get some plastic cups and plates that are similar to the color of the teams playing in the game(s). This will add a nice little kick to your party without going over the top. Along with the colored cups and plates, be sure to remind your guests to wear their favorite team jerseys.

The food is quite possibly the most important party of your party, and certainly the easiest. There is no need to have any extravagant foods for a sports party. While you are out looking for colored plastic cups and plates, stop by your local grocery store and pick up some goodies. Get some shelled peanuts and some chips. Try to get a plain variety as well as something a little more interesting.

Be sure to get beverages as well. You will want to get some type of alcoholic beverage (beer will do) as well as some soda and fruit juice. Two liter sodas are ideal because of your colored cups, and they also reduce your clean-up time (as compared to cans or bottles). Nearly everyone loves pizza, so 10 minutes before you expect your guests to arrive, call your favorite pizza place and order enough for everyone. Mix up the flavors to satisfy all of your guests. Make sure you get it delivered. Your guests will love the knock on the door to signal the arrival of the main course.

By the time everyone gets a slice of pizza the game will be ready to start. Enjoy!
