• Picture frame
• 6-inch strips of cloth
• Beads
• Glitter
• Glue
• Hot glue gun and glue sticks
• Page of newspaper

Instructions

1. The first thing you need to do is clean all sides of the frame. Make sure there are no rough edges or splinters if you are using wood, for your child to get hurt on. Remove the glass or plastic from the frame before beginning. Plug in your hot glue gun now so it is ready to use. Lay down the page of newspaper on your table so there are no permanent glue spots on your table or counter.

2. Give your child the glue, and help them to place it all over the outer edges of the picture frame. Now give them the glitter, and help them to sprinkle it on the glue. This will serve as a good background, or as decoration by itself. Allow this to sit for half an hour to set up properly and not smear during the remaining steps.

3. The strips of cloth should be tied into bows now for attachment on your frame. Use the hot glue gun to apply glue to the backs of your bows, and help your child place them on the frame. Allow these to sit for 10 minutes to cool and set.

4. Give your child the beads now, and help them to attach with hot glue on the backs. This will ensure that they do not fall off when hung up. Allow this to sit for 10 minutes to cool before touching. Now with the frame in your hands, hold the hairspray 12 inches away and spray evenly over the entire surface. Let this dry for five minutes and repeat for a second coat. This will keep the glitter from falling off if the glue rots over the years. Once it is dried, replace the glass or plastic, and you have a memory that your child created just for you.
