Here is a recipe for the best deviled eggs you have ever eaten. These deviled eggs will be a staple in every holiday meal as well as any time you simply want to treat your family to a delectable surprise.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tbs. yellow mustard
  • ½ cup sandwich salad dressing (mayonnaise can be used but is not recommended)
  • 1 tbs. sugar
  • Paprika
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Place eggs in a medium cooking pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil on medium-high heat. Let boil for 6 to 8 minutes. Turn off heat and remove pot from burner. Take pot to sink and run cold water over eggs until water in pot becomes cold. Let eggs sit for 15 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Crack and peel the eggs. After the shell is removed, cut the egg from small end to large end, in half. Place the yellow yolk in a small bowl and the egg halves on a plate. With the fork, mash the yolk and continue with the remaining eggs in the same manner.

  3. Step 3

Combine salad dressing (sandwich style), yellow mustard, sugar and 3 dashes of paprika with the mashed yolks and mix well.

  4. Step 4

With your spoon, fill each egg half with the mixture. There should be more than enough mixture to slightly mound each egg half. Once all egg halves are filled, sprinkle some paprika on top of the eggs and chill at least 1 hour before serving.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also use a resealable plastic bag to pipe in the egg mixture. Simply place the egg mixture in the bag, cut the corner off one side large enough for the mixture to come out when bag is squeezed and pipe the mixture into each egg half.
  • Mayonnaise can be substituted for the sandwich-style salad dressing but is not recommended because it has a salty taste, and these deviled eggs should have a slightly sweet flavor to them.
  • Do not undercook your eggs. This can cause bacteria to grow, spoiling the eggs.
