Things You'll Need

  • Ketchup
  • Horseradish sauce (Marzetti brand is a good one)
  • Parsley flakes
  • A dash of lemon or lime juice
  • 1 bag frozen shrimp (about 30 large or 60 cocktail size)

      Gather ketchup, horseradish sauce and parsley (lemon or lime juice is optional).

      In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup ketchup, 1 to 2 tsp. horseradish sauce (depending on the heat level you prefer) and 1/2 tsp. dried parsley. Add a few drops of lemon or lime juice, if desired. Mix well. Turn into small bowl and refrigerate.

      Empty bag of frozen shrimp into colander.

      Rinse shrimp under cold running water for about 5 minutes, until thawed. Cover colander with damp paper towels and set in refrigerator for about an hour to chill.

      Remove shrimp from refrigerator, arrange on a pretty plate and serve with sauce and lemon wedges alongside.

Tips & Warnings

  • Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to three days. You'll find horseradish sauce on the condiment aisle alongside the ketchup and pickles.
