Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Lg can Sweet Potatoes
  • ½ C. firmly packed artificial brown sugar
  • Can opener
  • Spoon for mixing
  • Oven Safe Casserole Dish

    Recipe

  1. Step 1

Open a large can of sweet potatoes and drain the liquid into an oven safe casserole dish. Add the brown sugar to the liquid and stir until the sugar is mixed well.

  2. Step 2

Add the sweet potatoes and make sure all the potatoes are covered well with the sugar mixture.

  3. Step 3

Bake at 350 degrees until the liquid bubbles and the potatoes are hot, about 30 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Remove it from the oven and serve it hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may wish to leave some of the liquid out because it may be too much liquid to thicken during cooking. I usually use about half of what the can contains.
  • Do not cover with marshmallows as they contain too much sugar for diabetics.
