So you're on a hot date with a girl or a guy and you're driving up to a famous restaurant, like Los Angeles' Katsuya. Where in the world do you park? Don't be a cheap and go around the restaurant/club for 30 minutes to find street parking. This will turn your date off, for sure. Just valet your car and pay the extra 10 to 20 bucks. So, pull up first, to the front of the restaurant, or near any guy with a tuxedo/suit outfit, or sign that says "Valet Here."

After you pull up, step out of the car. The valet drivers will then give you a ticket that you will later use to claim your car. It is usually a stub that comes from a perforated piece of paper that the valets later include with your car keys.

After you are done with the event of the night, go back to where you valeted to claim your car. Politely give the valet administrator your stub that you received earlier in the evening. He will then charge you for the valet. After you are paying for the valet service, you then will be directed to your car where another person opens your car door for you.

As you are guided into your seat, it is then customary to give this person a $1 to $3 tip ( or more if you are so generous) before you drive off with your date. Always remember to tip for great service.
