Once in a while, you will need to add a mathematical equation to a Microsoft Word 2003 document. Just follow these simple instructions.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Microsoft Word 2003
  1. Step 1

    Open the desired document in Microsoft Word 2003.

  2. Step 2

    Click on Insert and then from the drop down box click on Object.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the CREATE NEW Tab and select Microsoft Equation 3.0.

  4. Step 4

    Create the equation using the equation toolbar.
