Do not microwave your food in plastic containers even if they say "microwave safe" because again, the heat breaks down the material and will be more likely to leach the toxic chemical BPA into your food. Take your food out of the Tupperware and place on a glass or ceramic plate before heating in the microwave.

Check the number on your plastic. Check the bottom of bottles and see if there is a 7 inside the recycle symbol. Plastics with the 7 are more likely to contain BPA and should be avoided. Make sure to check all bottles that you buy for your baby since baby bottles are commonly stamped with this number.
Tips & Warnings
Be conscious about what you put into your body and if you have children, it is especially important to pay attention to what you are and aren't exposing them to. Think about the past and how we didn't know about the dangers and toxicity of lead. Phlalates and BPA may be the next thing like that.
