Making your own homemade odor eliminators can be a great way to save money. They can be made with general household ingredients that you probably have in your home already. Get ready to search your cabinets for some fresh ideas.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dryer sheets
  • Fabric softener
  • Spray bottle
  • Water
  • Vodka
  • Dried lavendar
  • Vinegar
  1. Step 1

Place a few of your favorite scented dryer sheets in your heating vents, or behind your air conditioner vent. As the air blows out, so will the freshness.

  2. Step 2

Fill a spray bottle with half water, half liquid fabric softner. Spray your carpets, furniture, window treatments and anything else that may need some freshening up. You will be surprised how this recipe beats the store bought sprays.

  3. Step 3

Fill a spray bottle with vodka, and spray on musty smelling items. Straight vodka is odorless, but has the ability to diffuse odor.

  4. Step 4

Remove odors in the bedrooms by sprinkling ground, dried lavender on the mattress when you are changing the sheets. The lavender not only smells great, but is also a very relaxing fragrance.

  5. Step 5

Place a bowl of vinegar in any area that you would like to absorb tobacco odors.
