Attending your children's sporting events can be costly if you don't bring your own food, especially if you have a large family. You can save so much money by not purchasing food from the concession stands.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Pop your own popcorn and bring it in brown paper bags. You not only have the opportunity to buy healthier popcorn, but you save money.
Step2
Bring your own beverage. This give you the opportunity to choose a healthier beverage.
Step3
Pack your own food. If you are missing dinner or lunch (or even breakfast), take the time to fill a cooler with your own food. You are not likely going to find fresh fruit at the sporting events you attend.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep a tote bag in your vehicle with paper plates, cups and plastic utensils.
  • Bring a gallon container of water and reusable cups to avoid dirty drinking fountains.
  • Cut your own fresh fruit yourself. Grocery stores charge higher prices for pre-cut fruit trays.
