How to Make a Fried Egg Sandwich

  • Small non-stick frying pan
  • 1/2 tbsp. butter (or other fat or non-stick spray)
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • 2 slices white bread (or other)
  • mayonnaise
  • ketchup (optional)
  • salt (optional)
  • pepper (optional)

  1. How to Make a Fried Egg Sandwich

      Heat frying pan on medium high heat. Add butter and wait for it to stop foaming and sizzling.

      Break egg(s) into pan and lightly scramble. Use a spatula to keep shaping them into the same size as the bread slices.

      Spread mayonnaise on bread slices while egg is cooking. Add ketchup, salt and pepper to one slice of bread, if desired.

      Flip egg to finish cooking. Place cooked egg on bread slice with ketchup, top with the other slice. Eat and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • You can toast the bread if you like.

  • You can add a slice of ham or sausage, or lettuce and tomato, if you want to get fancy.

  • Try dicing and browning one slice of bacon in the pan before cooking the egg. Omit the butter.

  • You can also add other ingredients, like chopped onion or other veggies, to the butter before you add the egg.

  • You can add sliced or shredded cheese to the cooked egg after you turn the heat off. Place a lid over the pan for 30 seconds to help the cheese melt.

  • The egg will cook quickly. Make sure you have your bread ready to go.
