Paint the walls. Ever since the first season of American Idol, they have stuck to a blue and white logo. Paint your walls with predominately blue paint and add in sections of white if you want. Paint with a darker shade of blue, more like a navy blue rather than a sky blue.

The show’s main focus is on singing so you can take some black paint and put musical notes all over the wall. Mix in some white musical notes as well to even out the paint.

Gather together some pictures or posters of stars from the show. Focus on some of your favorite performers as well as winners like David Cook, Kelly Clarkson, and others.

Frame the pictures to make the room look sharper and more organized.

Build a replica stage. It is nearly impossible to build a full scale American Idol stage in your room, but you can dedicate a side or corner of the room to recreating the American Idol stage.

Use wooden boards or other materials to create a small raised platform as your stage. Cover the platform with a shiny or glittery material to have an American Idol style to it.

Along with the stage, create a mock judging booth that can easily be taken out and stored away. When guests are over you can switch positions as judges and performers and reenact all of your favorite American Idol moments.
