Learn how to manage your time more effectively

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Time to read the article, pencil and paper
Step1
Ever feel like your chasing your tail? Many people ask me how I can be so organized. This is what I do. I work full time, I do interior decorating consulting, I make and sell soy candles, I write when time permits, and in all this I have a fiance, three daughters (between us),five grandchildren and two cats. If I can do it, you can too!
Step2
One thing I do is make lists. Every day I write down what needs done and I check it off. Including if I have to go to the store. Let's say Sunday I know I have a busy week ahead, I will list everything for the week, and I check it off when completed. This has two rewards to it, One is you don't usually forget anything and two is the sense of accomplishment!
Step3
Save time! When you are doing errands, set the day for that, Do a circle and try not to back track. This saves on gas and time. Groceries, gas, lottery, bills etc. Some p[eople say they don't need lists, they have a great memory, (the same people that is that tell me I am organized.) Lists keep things in order and help you have more free time to do what you like to do, not so much what you have to do. Try it, and you'll see what I mean.

Tips & Warnings

  • Place the list where you will see it first thing in the morning, Usually on the kitchen table, list does not have to be done in order, making the list in order can help save more time though.
  • May be addicting, You may not know what to do with the extra time you will have!
