How to Make Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting

For the delicious taste of peanut butter and chocolate combined in frosting, try an easy version. Three ingredients, one microwave, and in a matter of minutes, you'll have a homemade yummy frosting. Make sure there are no peanut allergies in the crowd, however. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 generous tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp. milk (soy and rice milk are okay too)
  • Small bowl
  • Butter knife or rubber spatula for spreading

Instructions

      Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and milk in small bowl.

      Microwave on low for 45 seconds. Remove halfway through and stir, then finish microwaving.

      Check to make sure frosting is silky smooth and stir again.

      Spread frosting over cake, brownies or cupcakes as soon as possible. Let sit at least 20 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings

  • Almond, cashew or hazelnut butter may be substituted for the peanut butter.

  • Double recipe for a large cake or for more than a dozen cupcakes.
