How to Consignment Shop in Chattanooga

  1. Step 1

Start on the North Shore. Frazier Avenue is parallel to the Tennessee River and is lined with locally owned cafés, shops and salons. Open since November 2005, Glam Slam Jewelry & Consignment (115 Frazier Avenue) has been named "Best Consignment Shop" by the "Chattanooga Times Free Press" Reader's Choice Awards two years in a row. The shop has also been voted best place to buy jewelry.

  2. Step 2

From Frazier Avenue, drive under Veteran's Bridge (keep right by the river instead of getting on the bridge) and you will end up on Hixson Pike. Follow the street past The Bright School (on your right) and Encore Consignment Boutique (1150 Hixson Pike) will be in a shopping center on your right as you go through a four-way stop with traffic lights.

  3. Step 3

Continue down Hixson Pike for several miles and turn left onto Highway 153. Jenny's Closet (5503 Highway 153) will be on your left, and The Clothes Basket (5630 Highway 153, Suite G) will be on your right.

  4. Step 4

Take Highway 153 South back the way you came, and instead of turning back onto Hixson Pike, continue down Highway 153 past Northgate Mall. The highway will turn into more of an interstate, and you will want to exit at Highway 58. This street is home to Sarah's Second Glance (4609 Highway 58). Let's Do It Again (4762 Highway 58) and A Grandmother's Haven Children's Resale Shop (4830 Highway 58).

  5. Step 5

Get back on Highway 153 South, exit at Lee Highway and take a left. Second Chance Boutique (6209 Lee Highway) and Changing Hands (6861 Lee Highway) will both be on your left.

Tips & Warnings
  • Other Chattanooga consignment shops worth finding include Apple Dumplin Children's Resale Shop (8115 East Brainerd Road, Suite 14) and Anna's Attic Consignment Boutique (8505 Hixson Pike, Suite D).
