It is rare to find two contestants wearing the same gown, but it has happened. Remember that the judges are judging the contestant in the gown, and not the gown itself.

Instructions

Stay calm and above all concentrate on your performance. Realize it’s normal to feel frustrated and embarrassed, but don’t let these emotions take a hold of you.

  2. Step 2

Keep your posture, stomach in, shoulders back, head up and smile. Be enthusiastic and confident, you should be excited that another contestant has the same taste as you. There is reason why both of you chose the same dress and that is the desire for the crown.

  3. Step 3

When judges have two contestants in the same gown they will obviously give a better score to the girl that looks most comfortable in her gown. View the situation as a challenge. One of you will have a higher score than the other, so plan to be the competitor with the higher score.

Tips & Warnings
  • Think that you are two different people wearing a gown in two different ways.
  • Don’t bother asking other contestants what type of gown are they wearing, in order to find out if their gown is different than yours. If you do this you will get some truthful answers and other answers that are far from the truth. Asking other contestant for the type of gown they will wear, takes up too much of your time and concentration that you should be devoting to the competition.
