You will learn how to make a Pokemon deck from Pokemon Trading Card Game.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 60 Pokemon Cards
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is get Pokemon cards. You can buy them from a local gaming store or department store like Wal-Mart. We are going to make a deck from scratch.

  2. Step 2

The next thing you do is follow the age old rule of Pokemon deck building, 20 energy cards, 20 trainer cards, and 20 Pokemon. This creates balance in the 60 card deck we are making. We will make an deck with only one type of energy so it will be easy to build.

  3. Step 3

Anything else you put in the deck is up to you as long as you follow the 20 Pokemon and 20 Trainer rule. Remember you can only have 4 of any 1 non-energy card in the deck (such as 4 Switch). Try placing 8 basic Pokemon, 6 stage 1 Pokemon, and 4 stage 2 Pokemon. Then throw in 2 extra basic Pokemon of your choice.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only 4 of any 1 card other than basic energy.
  • Play test your deck at least twice before you give up on it.
  • Make sure and have an adult help if the player is under 10 years old.
