Things You'll Need:
- save the date magnets
- stock cards
- envelopes
- rub on transfers
- Glue Dots 3-D
- optional business cards with printed wedding web site.
- optional decorative edging scissors.
-
Step 1
To begin making save the date wedding cards, have all your materials in front of you. If you choose to use the business cards with your wedding website printed on it, decide how you will center the two items on the stock card. Once you decide, use the glue dots to give them a temporary home on the card. You may also choose to give the card stock a fancy edge. This should be done before you attach the items on the card.
-
Step 2
Once you have attached the items on the card, you will put the added detail on the card. The example shows rub on transfers. Place the transfer where you want it, rub it with the Popsicle stick provided. These transfers almost look like they've been printed on the card. They are very inexpensive and very easy to do. You can choose your design at the craft store in the scrap book section.

Step 3
Finished Save the Date CardsThe final step is to place your nicely designed Save the Date card in the envelope and it is ready to address!

on 6/2/2008 Good tips. I did everything I could to save money for my wedding. One thing I didn't do is send 'save-the-date' cards, because it was a family only wedding. So, I didn't think it was necessary. Thanks for the info!
