From Quick Guide: Vegetable Recipes
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 carrot, skinned and chopped
  • 1/8 lb. of fresh green beans
  • 1/8 lb. of fresh snow peas
  • 1 tsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Ground pepper to taste
  • 1/8 lb. lima beans
  1. Step 1

Heat butter or margarine in small pot over medium-high heat. Be careful that the butter doesn't brown before adding the vegetables.

  2. Step 2

Add carrots, green beans, asparagus, snow peas, garlic and Lima beans into pot and stir.

  3. Step 3

Season vegetables with salt and pepper.

  4. Step 4

Cook vegetables for 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender enough to eat. Cook for less time if you prefer crunchier vegetables.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add 1/4 cup of water if vegetables begin to stick.
  • Use other vegetables such as broccoli and onions as an alternative.
  • When using frozen vegetables, the water is unnecessary because frozen vegetables will release their own water after several minutes of cooking.
