How to Decorate a Room With a Golden State Warriors Theme

The Golden State Warriors have been playing on the West Coast since the early 1970s. Still, many people nationwide may think of the Lakers or even the Clippers before the Warriors come to mind. Don't let them fool you, though. The Warriors have some of the most dedicated fans in the NBA. Any fan of the team would love to have a room dedicated to his favorite NBA team. Here is how to decorate a room with a Golden State Warriors theme.

1. Paint your room in the colors of the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have gone through several uniform transformations through the years so you could choose from many different shades of colors. Search online for vintage and current uniforms used by the Warriors to determine which colors you want to use while painting your room.
2. Find a picture of the Golden State fans wearing yellow in the Oracle Arena and place it in the room. During pivotal games, such as playoff games, the entire arena will be full of fans wearing yellow in support of the Warriors. It's something that any sports fan, especially one who cheers for the Warriors, can appreciate.
3. Buy vintage Golden State uniforms and hang them on the walls of your room. As I stated earlier, the Warriors have seen many different uniforms throughout the history of the franchise. You can find many of these vintage uniforms are big name sports stores. If you have no luck there, try the official website of the Warriors or a team shop.
4. Place pictures and other merchandise which commemorates the 1975 NBA Championship team in the room. The 1975 title was the only one won by the franchise after it moved west from Philadelphia after the 1961-62 season.
5. Dedicate a portion of the room to the career of Rick Barry. Barry was instrumental in the team's 1975 championship victory. Perhaps you could find a basketball that has been autographed by Barry and show it off in the room. You could also look for a replica Barry uniform and display it in the room.
6. Decorate the remainder of your room with Golden State furniture. If you search hard enough online and at stores that sell Warriors merchandise, you can probably find chairs, lamps and other objects with the team logo on them. You could also make things easier for yourself. Buy a yellow chair, for example, and then place a Golden State blanket over the chair.
