The popular weight-loss aid known as Hoodia is causing some controversy for its lack of side effects. Hoodia was originally used by bushmen of South Africa, who would eat it while on long hunts to stave off hunger and thirst. There have been no health issues among them; however, they only used it occasionally. Hoodia could potentially be used several times per day every day for an extended period of time. The product is just too new to know for sure. Although no health problems have been reported, there are some things of which to be aware.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Rob the mind. Hoodia fools the brain into thinking you are not hungry. This is a good thing when it comes to dieting and trying to cut back on calories, but if you forget to eat or simply don’t eat because you are never hungry, the body will be robbed of nutrients and energy. That becomes a problem.
Step2
Hide thirst. Hoodia hides thirst. Especially in dieting, it is important to drink lots of water. Being thirsty reminds us to drink. Hidden thirst leads to dehydration, another indirect side effect.
Step3
Find pure hoodia. Hoodia companies are marketing products that are not 100% Hoodia and mixing it with herbs such as green tea, which is a stimulant. Although Hoodia is said not to be a stimulant, the green tea or the combination of the two could cause headaches, jitters, nervousness and sleeplessness.
Step4
Increase love. It has even been noted as having an aphrodisiac effect!

Tips & Warnings

  • As with any other diet pill, using Hoodia means keeping your doctor informed.
